Catalyst connector 3.4.1 installation error on Windows 2012 server

Issue/Introduction

We have a requirement to install CA Catalyst r3.4.1 and SCOM Connector version 4.2.00 on a Windows 2012 R2. While installing CA Catalyst r3.4.1 installer on windows 2012 R2 OS we get the following error:- 

Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported:- 

The installer cannot run in this UI Mode. To specify the interface mode, use the -i command-line option, followed by the UI mode identifier. The valid UI modes identifiers are GUI, Console, and Silent.

Catalyst Container 3.4.1

Resolution

1) Please change the compatibility mode to Windows 7 as shown in the below screenshot for \Disk1\InstaData\Windows\VM\Install.exe binary.

 

2) Then right-click on ‘\Disk1\catalyst_install.bat’ file -> select 'Run as Administrator' as shown in the below picture

 

3) Now, the installer executes and installs the catalyst container
