Issue/Introduction

Description:

IPSLA Jitter Response Path test charts for Cisco ASR devices show grid lines but no data plotted, making it appear as though no data is present.

Solution:

The fact that the chart in CAPC shows grid lines instead of a 'No Data Available' message implies there is data present.

The fact that the chart has the grid lines, but no plotted line showing the data, implies that all available data points are 0 (zero) values. Thus the data line is 'hidden' at the bottom of the chart along the X axis chart line and not obviously visible.

It was found that there is an undefined issue with some older Cisco ASR IOS versions that are causing this problem.

While specific Cisco defect information is not available at this time, it has been identified that a working release of the ASR IOS that does not show this issue is:

Cisco IOS Software, C3900e Software (C3900e-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.1(3)T3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

The issue was observed on devices running the ASR IOS:

Cisco IOS Software, IOS-XE Software (X86_64_LINUX_IOSD-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.1(2)S1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

To resolve this problem the IOS on the involved devices will need to be upgraded to a minimum release of:

Cisco IOS Software, C3900e Software (C3900e-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.1(3)T3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

This release has been confirmed to resolve this issue by other customers.
