Issue/Introduction

Landscapes are dropping out of the Landscape Map in Spectrum causing the landscapes to disappear in the OneClick console.

Environment

Release:
Component:

Cause

Check the $SPECROOT/LS/.locrc file on the Main Location Server (MLS) system for the "MET_INTERVAL" parameter. If present and set to low, this will cause entries in the Location Server cache to drop out causing landscapes to drop out of the Landscape Map.

Resolution

The default value for the "MET_INTERVAL" parameter is 3600000 milliseconds (1 hour). If the value is set to low it will cause entries in the Location Server cache to drop out causing landscapes to drop out of the Landscape Map. Either increase the value or remove the entry and then restart the Location Server processes.

Additional Information

Please reference Knowledge Document KB000049337 "A Landscape or SpectroSERVER is missing in Spectrum OneClick after one hour because the landscape was not reachable or contactable" for more information on the "MET_INTERVAL" parameter.
