Issue/Introduction

Problem:

Trying to register an MSI package and getting the message:

Software delivery registration information was found in conjunction with the MSI package. Register the package using the import software package method [SDG001132]

Resolution

Solution:

This error occurs when trying to register an exported Software Delivery MSI Based package as a new package. In this case, the Reginfo directory already exists and hence this error message is seen.

To resolve, you can do as the message indicates and register the package using the 'import software package' option, or alternatively, you can copy the MSI files(s) to a dedicated, empty directory and retry the registration.
