Issue/Introduction

Is there a Librarian global setting for archive level or is it defined in each Librarian Master file?

Environment

Release:  4.4

Resolution

There is no global parameter available in Librarian to specify the number of archive levels for all Librarian Master files.

The number of archive levels is set in the individual Librarian Master files when they are initialized.

Example:

-OPT INIT,DISK
-OPT ARC=25

Additional Information

For more information on the -OPT ARC keyword, see the Initialization section in to Librarian TechDocs:   System Services / Disk Master Files / Initialization

See KB56714 for information on how to change the number of archive levels in an existing Librarian Master file.
