Issue/Introduction

Problem:

 

 

 

When working with Identity Manager 12.6 SP6 or 12.6 SP6 CR1 with WebLogic12c as the Application Server and Oracle as RDB (Object store), you will see OPEN CURSORS exceed the default limit errors and all the Identity Manager VST search operations fail to work.

 

 

The following errors appear in the application server logs:

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1

ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1

 

Environment:

IDM 12.6 SP6 or 12.6 sp6 CR1 on WebLogic 12c with Oracle RDB as the Object Store

Cause

Cause:

WebLogic12c makes use of the ojdbc driver jar which comes with the WebLogic installation, and the ojdbc driver jar has a ‘Gettables cursor connection leak’ which is addressed by patch ‘19632480’.

Contact Oracle to download and apply patch ‘19632480’ for ORACLE DATABASE METADATA.GETTABLES CURSOR CONNECTION LEAK.
