Issue/Introduction

Why does the assemble of the C1DEFLTS table fail when assembling under V18.0 / V18.1 / V19.0?
** ASMA017W Undefined keyword parameter; default to positional, including keyword - C1DEF/INFO
** ASMA017W Undefined keyword parameter; default to positional, including keyword - C1DEF/NMAN

** ASMA017W Undefined keyword parameter; default to positional, including keyword - C1DEF/RSCETBL
** ASMA017W Undefined keyword parameter; default to positional, including keyword - C1DEF/USERTBL

** ASMA080E Statement is unresolvable

It assembled without problem under previous releases.

Environment

Release:  V18.0   V18.1 V19.0
Component: ENDBAS

Resolution

Several C1DEFLTS parameters are obsolete starting with V18.0:

INFO, NMAN, ACCSTBL, RSCETBL, and USERTBL

If the C1DEFLTS table is assembled with these obsolete parameters under release V18 or V19, it will result in the   ASMA017W and ASMA080E  errors.

To resolve the errors remove the INFO, NMAN, ACCSTBL, RSCETBL, and USERTBL parameters from the C1DEFLTS table and reassemble and link the table.

There can also be the message:
ASMA254I *** MNOTE *** 5+ 12,PARMLIB AND TYPESEQMBR PARAMETERS MUST BE CODED.

Global Type Sequencing is now required with V18.0 and higher.

See the following KB for instructions on how to implement Global Type Sequencing:
