Disabled/Inactive CA PPM Addin in Microsoft Project - For one time occurrence

Issue/Introduction

The CA PPM Addin for Microsoft Project is missing in MSP and is listed under the Disabled or Inactive Application Add-Ins (under File - Options - Addins).

  • What are the steps to enable the addin so that will again be available on the toolbar?

Cause

A likely cause is that MSP crashed and the add-in has been unloaded by Microsoft Project as a precaution measure so that the program can be started normally.

Resolution

If disabled:

  1. In MSP, go to File - Options - AddIns
  2. On the Manage drop down at the bottom of the screen, select Disabled Items then click Go
  3. Select the CA PPM Addin, and click Enable
  4. Close out of MSP and reopen it

If inactive:

  1. In MSP go to File->Options->Add-Ins
  2. Click Go next to 'Manage'
  3. Check the check box next to 'The CA PPM AddIn for Microsoft Project'
  4. Click 'OK'
