Detector for DB2 for z/OS Subsystem Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS Database Management for DB2 for z/OS - SQL Performance Suite

Issue/Introduction

How to change the SYSPLEX interval time for Detector for Db2 for z/OS (PDT) collections.

Resolution

The default interval time for a Cross System (SYSPLEX) collection is 1 hour. This time can be changed by:

  1. Adding the PLEXINTV(HH:MM) parameter into the XMANINIT member of the hlq.CDBAPXMP library.
For example, to change the SYSPLEX interval time to 3 hours, the PLEXINTV parameter below can be added
into your XMANINIT members with it's existing parameters:

    -LISTAUTH
    -PLEXINTV(0300)
    -RUN($STRTPDT)
    -RUN($STRTPSA)

  2. Recycle the XMANAGER started task

Additional Information

Customize the Xmanager

Prepare the Xmanager Started Task Procedure

PLEXINTV(hhmm)
Sets the Xmanager sysplex interval. The sysplex interval is an Xmanager managed time interval that you can use to provide a consistent time interval across all LPARS in a sysplex complex. Products such as Detector for Db2 for z/OS and Subsystem Analyzer for Db2 for z/OS use this time interval to coordinate time-related activities. We recommend that you set this parameter by adding a PLEXINTV(hhmm) modify command to the XMANINIT member in the hlq.CDBAPXMP library.
