Issue/Introduction

Vulnerability CVE-2023-5217 indicates the following: A heap buffer overflow in vp8 encoding in libvpx in Google Chrome prior to 117.0.5938.132 and libvpx 1.13.1 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)

Is the gateway vulnerable to this CVE ?

Environment

CA API Gateway 10.1, 11.0

Resolution

We do not ship the libvpx library with our gateway and are not vulnerable to this particular cve.  No action is required.
