UIMAPI does not localize alarms from Spanish to English using "US"

Issue/Introduction

uimapi get alarms translation from other language (Spanish) to English only works if "*" or "-" is included in the string.

en

 

DO NOT WORK, they still return Spanish. 

 

 

 

From Spanish the following works fine:

 

DE -> Translate to German

JA -> Translate to Japanese

ES -> Translate to Spanish (from English in my lab) 

 

 

HOWEVER:

 

Without anything specified, it returns Spanish.

 

with DE, it works (Translates to German)

with JA, it works Translates to Japonés)

with US, it doesn't  work (returns Spanish)

with EN, it doesn't  work (returns Spanish)

with en, it doesn't  work (returns Spanish)

Environment

• Release: UIM 20.4
• Component: uimapi 20.4.8

Cause

• Defect in uimapi

Resolution

The fix for this issue-> uimapi-20.4.8-T1.zip is attached to this KB article.

With the above fix, using "US" works as it translates alarms from Spanish to English as expected.
