How To Confirm Non-B or B Model From Command Line Interface or Logs

Issue/Introduction

How to confirm your SSP-S410 is a B or non-B model by using commands or log entries.

Resolution

- B-models will have 1st and 2nd  slot with DUAL Port NIC-BRCM-2X10GIGE-NBP ( Broadcom ) module pre-included PCI x16 card and Slot 3 and 4 will have pluggable slot for PCI X16 QUAD Port card.

- Non B models will have 2nd slot with QUAD port NIC-4X10GIGE-BP ( Non-Broadcom) pre-included PCI x16 Card and slot 1,3,4 will have pluggable slot for PCI X16 QUAD Port card.

 

Outside of these minor difference, everything else between the two models is identical.

Additional Information

Using the command 'show hardware-configuration' you can tell by interface vendor provided.
