How to check the Policy Serial Number on the Linux Agent

Issue/Introduction

You can confirm that client and SEPM communicate by verifying the policy serial number. These numbers are expected to match on SEPM console and the client.

Environment

Release : 14.3 RU1 or later

Resolution

To verify the Policy Serial Number on Linux Client, please run the following command:

cat /var/symantec/sep/Index2.xml | grep SerialNumber
