Issue/Introduction

In the following environment:

Automic Workload Automation version 21.0.3-HF1 with Solaris agents 12.3.9.

Several jobs are ending abnormally because of the following error:

U02003043 Invalid 'fork' call. Error code: ('12' - 'Cannot allocate memory')

The RAM usage of the Solaris agent went up to almost 3GB and each file transfer creates a process fork with its own 3GB RAM usage.
Having multiple file transfers in parallel quickly leads to job aborts because the system is out of memory.

Environment

Cause

This is a defect in the agent.

Resolution
