Issue/Introduction

 

Will a long-running batch process have an adverse effect if a client copy is performed prior to the batch process being completed?

Resolution

If there is a long-running batch job that has not been completed prior to the start of the client copy, it is ok to still run the client copy.

If the DB performance is good, there should be no adverse effects.
If the DB does not have strong performance, the batch process could end up taking longer while the client copy is in progress.

If there is concern about the DB performance, then you may opt to wait until the processing is completed, but there are no other adverse effects to running this at the same time.
