Adding * into the Message history search returns all messages

Issue/Introduction

When putting an asterisk, '*', into the search messages history in the AWI:

More messages are returned that what was searched for

This behavior is by design.  The use of wildcards are not permitted as they cause behavior like this.

"You can search for alphanumerical strings. The search is not case-sensitive and it does not support the use of wildcard characters."
