Issue/Introduction

This article covers what Authorizations are needed at minimum for a user to:

• renew transfer keys in version 12.x and 21.0.  Please note that transfer keys are still available in version 21.0 with non-TLS enabled agents.
• Reset agent public keys in version 21.0 for TLS enabled agents.  

What is the most limited set of permissions and authorizations necessary to renew an agent's transfer key or reset an agent's public key?

Release : 12.x and 21.0

Resolution

Renew Transfer Key

Two things are needed to renew transfer keys:

1. Write permission to the agent whose transfer key will be renewed
2. The privilege "Access to Administration"

These are needed in client 0.

Reset Agent Public Key

Two things are needed to Reset an agent's Public Key:

1. Execute permission to the agent whose public key should be reset
2. The privilege "Access to Administration"

These can be in any client
