Unable to download registered external output files

Issue/Introduction

The files are registered as part of the job execution using the inbuild function ":REGISTER_OUTPUTFILES".

However, unable to download these external registered files from AWI in both scenarios.

- If no LOGIN is assigned to USER ( :REGISTER_OUTPUTFILES "C:\temp\test.txt", "N") , the download button does nothing.

- If LOGIN is assigned to USER ( :REGISTER_OUTPUTFILES "C:\temp\test.txt", "Y"), the download button opens another browser tab and spins. Nothing is ever downloaded or displayed in the new browser tab.

Environment

Release : 12.3.6* and 21.02.* Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Cause

This issue is due to a known defect

Resolution

Correction that was done:

A problem has been fixed where the report download did not work because of a missing default LOGIN object.
No error message was shown in this case.

This issue has been fixed in version 21.0.4
