Alert: "Device encountered an error during configuration update" after configured SNMP Trap

Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response (SEDR) web console displays the Alert, "Device encountered an error during configuration update." after configured SNMP trap settings on [Settings] - [Appliances] - [Edit Default Appliance] or click appliance name - [Add SNMP v3].

Cause

Engine ID is longer than 32 characters.

Resolution

Use 32 characters or less for the Engine ID.
