Issue/Introduction

Filtering on Investment Active --All-- and "Is Not Empty" has different results due to pre-filter limitation.

 

When filtering on Active (Common Investment) in Common Component Views such as : Tasks, Staffing, To Do workspaces, different amount of results shown if filtered on --All-- and "Is Not Empty". Are those values not supposed to show and filter the same rows?

Cause

It is expected to have different results as this is a product limitation. 

Resolution

Expected behavior by design:

Clarity views in Modern UX are prefiltered on two fields:
• Active = True 
• Template = False

The 'pre-filter' is implemented in the following areas (only on R-O (related objects) Grids:

• Tasks Workspace  
• Staffing Workspace 
• To Dos Workspace 

--All--  will show only Active investments, so --All-- is the same as Active = Yes as those results have been prefiltered.
To override the prefilter and display all the results including the inactive project, we recommend to always use "Is Not Empty"

 

Where to expect this behavior:

Pre-filter is NOT added to the object Grids:

• Projects 
• Ideas 
• CITs

Pre-filter IS only added in the R-O (related objects) Grids:

• Tasks Workspace  
• Staffing Workspace 
• To Dos Workspace
