changing database types for autosys

Issue/Introduction

Customer is wanting to migrate the autosys database from SQL Server to Oracle.

Environment

Release: All Supported Versions
Component: Workload Automation AE (AutoSys Edition):

Resolution

1. Install a new AutoSys server with the new database type.
2. Export the AutoSys objects out of the older version and import them into the new one.
Use autocal_asc for calendars and autorep/jil for machines and jobs.
Use sendevent commands to set global variables.

There is no migration utility for job owner or autosys_secure settings.
They will need to be entered fresh in the new environment.
