PAM-UI-2203: Error deleting proxy when trying to delete old proxy agent

Issue/Introduction

An attempt to delete an old Proxy agent out of PAM results in the following error:

 Error: PAM-UI-2203: Error deleting proxy. Proxy cannot be deleted because it is in use.

Cause

The Proxy agent was configured as one of the selected Proxies in a Windows Proxy target application.

Resolution

Find the Windows Proxy target applications that have this Proxy agent in the Selected Proxies list and remove it:

1. Go to PAM UI page Credentials > Manage Targets > Applications.
2. Filter on "Application Type" = "Windows Proxy"
3. Edit each target application, select the "Windows Proxy" tab and remove the Proxy agent from the Selected Proxies list.

 

Once the Proxy agent is removed from all target applications, you should be able to delete it.
