data_engine on primary does not appear to be functioning correctly after an HA failover failback

Issue/Introduction

There are multiple data_engines using the same NIS database. Current data_engine is working in a secondary mode, which means it will not perform maintenance. You can not configure maintenance. You can not configure maintenance parameters from this instance.

Looking at the configuration we see the following:

Looking at the HA hub, the data_engine is not running there either.

Component : UIM - HA

Cause

This appears to be an issue with the failback where it did not set the primary's data_engine back to active correctly in the database.

Resolution

To repair this, run the following:

- Open the probe utility using CTRL + P in Infrastructure Manager
- select the 'admin_upgrade_primary' callback
- click on the green arrow
- validate that the data_engine settings for the primary hub are no longer showing as above
