Notes:

 

  • The DN* tables will not store any data if the daily_avg_age setting is not properly set. In order for daily_avg_age to store data, the setting value must be 'greater than' the delete_history_samples.

  • Also note that in general, if you reduce the number of days too aggressively, ore than a few days at a time, it often causes the delete job to hang (which affects the DB), or take a very long time to finish.

  • You can try deleting rows from daily_avg_age (the DN* tables) in increments of 20-25 (days). If you try to reduce it more aggressively, it may take a very long time or the delete job may hang.
