Roadmap grid hangs with "Loading Data... Please Wait" after editing a picklist

Issue/Introduction

After creating a roadmap, and then renaming or deleting a picklist, you are unable to see the details of the Grid view, and instead see a message: "Loading Data...Please wait" and nothing happens. This may be noticed after you re-named a picklist. In doing so, you receive a LINK error and delete the picklist. Since then you cannot see the data in the grid view. You can see the timeline and board view in this roadmap.

Steps in KB Roadmaps grid unable to load view: "Loading Data... Please Wait" were tried. Other users can see the grid view without issue for the same roadmap.

Environment

Release : 15.8.1

Component : Clarity Roadmaps

Resolution

This issue is no longer reproducible in 16.0

Workaround:

  1. Go to the Roadmap grid that is hanging
  2. From the View drop down, select Save As
  3. Enter a new name for the view and click Save
  4. Refresh the current page
  5. You may need to instead switch back to the prior view you were on prior to creating the new view (click refresh there if it still hangs)

If that doesn't help, or if a permanent fix is needed, reach out to support providing:

  • A copy of the app-ca.logs
  • Har file from the developer tools trace
  • Error message received from UI when editing the picklist (if any)
