Issue/Introduction

When trying to establish a connection from FDM 4.9.155.0 to the Oracle DB which is of secure type of connection(TCPS).  We are using wallets, which are pointed in SQLNET.ora file and SSL was added in tnsnames.ora file. Please suggest how to establish a secure type of connection from FDM for Oracle DB.

When connecting through FDM we are getting error message as: IO ERROR, An existing Connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Authentication lapse=0

FDM version:4.9.155.0

Environment

Release : 4.9

Component : CA Test Data Manager - Fast Data Masker

Resolution

It is possible to connect using TCPS with FDM by using ORACLETNS.

ORACLETNS was added to FDM to allow customers to load the connection string to Oracle database from tnsnames.ora

NOTE: If using Oracle wallet, you will need to have FastDataMasker-4.9.182.0 or greater.

Additional Information

Creating a secured TCPS Oracle connection using a Wallet and JDBC drivers in different TDM tools such as FDM, Portal, Datamaker, Subset and Javelin
