Issue/Introduction

In the Modern UX if a saved view is in use and unmodified (the view name is in normal font, not italics), and the view mode is switched from Grid to Board to Grid again (or Board to Grid to Board), the view in use appears to be modified and users will receive a prompt that they have modified the view in use and whether to discard or save the changes.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to the Modern UX and click on the Projects tile.
  2. Select Grid view.
  3. Open a saved view. The view name will not appear in italics, the view that is currently in use matches the saved view.
  4. Go to Board view.
  5. Go back to Grid view.

Expected Results: The Grid view in use is still not modified.

Actual Results: The Grid view in use appears in italics and appears to be modified. While trying to change the active view, a prompt [You have modified the view 'xxx' - Discard Changes / Save Changes] will be displayed.

Environment

Release : 15.9.1

Component : Clarity MUX UI Usability

Resolution

This behaviour is by design, since this allows the user to define the layout (i.e.: Grid, Board, Timeline...) to land on per the saved view when accessing the view. Every change updates the view in use.
