Issue/Introduction

After upgrading, you are not able to run any reports from Reports and Jobs or Advanced Reporting.

The error message is Error RPT-0020: Error occurred while downloading the report Database Connection Check: Data Warehouse. Please contact your system administrator

Checking permissions with the fileshare, everything looks ok. CSA is mapped correctly. App-ca.log is reporting the same error.

One example where this may be noticed is if you have recently upgraded your Jaspersoft reports and content (and/or DWH was rebuilt) 

Resolution

  1. Navigate to Advance Reporting
  2. Go to Data source folder
  3. Click on bean (DWH & PPM) edit to test the connection
  4. If the connection is failing then perform the below steps that should fix the connection:
    1. Log in to Jaspersoft as Superuser 
    2. Search for user jasperadmin under your organization you created for integrating with Clarity
    3. Edit the user
    4. Look for the tab Attributes on the right-hand panel
    5. Delete all the attributes except domainWhitelist as that is read only
    6. Now log in to the Clarity application server
    7. Navigate to CLARITY_HOME\bin and execute admin update jasperParameters

 If the above does not fix the issue, review the jasper server logs and check for any errors that can help point to root cause. If that doesn't help, please reach out to Broadcom Support for assistance.
