Issue/Introduction

Time Slicing job is running longer since the upgrade to 15.9.1.1/15.9.2 on rollover, especially quarterly. Performance Issue. Time Slicing rollover slow on MSSQL. Time Slicing can get stuck up to a full day and stops other jobs from running.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. On a large MSSQL database run a quarterly rollover (monthly also has an issue but quarterly is the slowest)

Expected Results: The Time Slicing job to complete within time.

Actual Results: The Time Slicing is very slow and can take up to a day to run.

Environment

Release : 15.9.1.1, 15.9.2, 15.9.3

Resolution

This is DE61494, fixed in 16.0.0

Workaround: Disabling SQL curves can help some but not by much. Reducing the amount of time slice requests can also help.
