Issue/Introduction

Enabling debugging can assist in troubleshooting issues with the Roadmaps including issues related to Roadmaps syncing. 

Resolution

  1. Log in to Classic Clarity and change the URL after action: to security.logs
    Example: SERVERNAME:PORT/niku/nu#action:security.logs (Alternatively, go to Logs in CSA)

  2. Go to Logs –> Edit Configuration and add the following Category: com.ca.ppm.rdm (STDOUT / Debug)

  3. Repeat the above steps for each additional server in the server drop-down.

  4. If Detect Changes Automatically is NOT checked, restart the app/bg services

  5. Reproduce the issue and provide the following logs for the time frame the issue was reproduced:

    • app-ca.log

    • bg-ca.log

    • Note: it may be required to also provide the .1, .2, .3 versions of the logs as well depending on how quickly the logs are overwritten.

  6. Once the issue is reproduced, disable debugging:

    1. Change the status of the category com.ca.ppm.rdm from Debug to Fatal
    2. Click Save
