Issue/Introduction

"URL Reputation protection is not functioning properly due to an internal configuration error" message on Symantec Endpoint Protection GUI after upgrade to 14.3 RU1 and later

Environment

Release : SEP 14.3 RU1 and later

Component : IPS ( URL Reputation)

Cause

"Allow Insight Lookup for threat detection" option is not enabled.

Resolution

Steps to Resolve the issue:

• Select the Group where the affected client is reporting in SEPM
• Go to "External communication settings > Submissions"
• Enable "Allow Insight Lookup for threat detection"
  
  
• After the policy update on the client, the Warning should disappear.
