Windows Agent reports are no longer transferred - JOB_DEL ignored

Issue/Introduction

Windows Agent stops working properly, reports are no longer transferred to AE - JOB_DEL ignored

Occasionally you'll find a number of message like

U02001006 Cannot find job with RunID '247350731'. JOB_DEL ignored.

in an Agent's log file.

 

 

Environment

Release : 12.2, 12.3 and 21.0

Component : Windows Agent

Cause

This is a bug in the Windows agent.
This only can occur when the load on the server is quite huge, and the response from the server to the first EXSTAJ message isn't fast enough. There are no side effects except additional messages in the agent logfile, since the server has to response to each EXSTAJ (which is simply sent too often).

 

Resolution

This is a bug in the agent that has been fixed with the release of 21.0.3 and will be fixed in 12.3.9
