Task Owner field: Map to MSP

Issue/Introduction

Is there a way to map the Task Owner field's data to Microsoft Project (MS Project) so that when I download a project, the task owner information also gets downloaded along with the tasks?

Environment

Release : 15.7.1 and Higher

Component : CA PPM PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Resolution

It is possible to create a MSP Mapping (Export only) to export the Task Owner value to MSP. Below are the steps to do that:

1. In Clarity, go to Administration->Project Management->MSP Field Mapping
2. Click on New
3. Enter the following:
   • Object Type: Task
   • Data Operation: Export
   • PPM Attribute ID: task_owner
   • MSP Field Name: Text10 (or select any text field outside Text1-5 that is not already in use in your system)

    4. Click Save and Return

Note: It's not possible to use Data Operation options of Import or Import and Export, as the Task Owner data is not able to be saved back from MSP.
