CA App Synthetic Monitor

Issue/Introduction

We have an application failing intermittently. We had a DNS issue earlier in the day which has been resolved. We need to ensure that the cache is being cleared for the tests running now. Can you clarify if the cache is always cleared on the public monitoring stations for each test run?

Environment

Release : SAAS

Component : APP SYNTHETIC MONITOR ENVIRONMENTAL

Resolution

ASM monitor checks are not using any cache or cookies, everything is a brand-new request for each ASM check.
You can think of it like running in incognito mode (in a browser). So, no cache or cookies are shared between each ASM monitor check. ASM tries to avoid any caching if possible - to the point of having our own DNS resolver on all stations, resolving from the top root servers down to the hostname being resolved. This applies to all monitor types.
