Unable to upgrade 10.7.1 and 10.7.3 using localinstall.

Issue/Introduction

Update fails when using the localinstall option:

update localinstall <URL-to-ISO-file>

 

The update attempts to connect to the software repository on the internet, even though the localinstall option is specified.

Environment

Messaging Gateway 10.7.1

Messaging Gateway 10.7.3

Cause

This is a known issue that is fixed in an updated version of the Messaging Gateway.

Resolution

This issue has been corrected in the 10.7.4 release, or newer, of the Messaging Gateway. Due to the nature of the issue, if the appliance is not able to update from the Broadcom update servers via the internet then a fresh installation of 10.7.4, or newer, will need to be installed to resolve this for future updates.
