Input Type Code and Charge Code on timesheets - remove/add

Issue/Introduction

Is there a way to turn off charge code and input type code fields for our users on timesheets? Or vice versus, if you want to add these fields? 

One scenario you may need this for: You enabled timesheets for the New User Experience (UX/MUX) and then disabled MUX Timesheets. Now that MUX Timesheets are disabled, your global settings in Classic timesheets include the Input Type Code and Charge Code.

Cause

If you are seeing these after activating the New UX Timesheets, this is working as designed. Activating the New UX Timesheets can reset some custom configurations. See New UX Timesheets - getting started for more details.

Remove the fields

1. In Classic Clarity, go to Administration->Project Management->Timesheet Options
2. In the Default Content and Layout Section, click on Input Type Code and Charge Code in Selected columns
   
3. Click on the left arrow to move them to Available Columns
4. At the bottom of the page, click Save.

Note: If any users have customized their timesheet column list, you would have to click the apply to all resources button for the changes to be pushed out to those users. However, this would overwrite customizations set.

Add the fields

1. In Classic Clarity, go to Administration->Project Management->Timesheet Options
2. In the Default Content and Layout Section, click on Input Type Code and Charge Code in the Available columns
3. Click on the right arrow to move them to Selected Columns
4. At the bottom of the page, click Save.

Prevent user configuration (MUX only)

To prevent user configuration in the Modern User Experience:

1. In Classic Clarity, go to Administration->Project Management->Timesheet Options
2. In the Modern UX Options section, ensure Allow end user column configuration is unchecked
   
3. Save changes
