Issue/Introduction

As a trusted advisor to our customers, our status sites provide transparency around service availability and performance for Broadcom software products.

By subscribing through the Service Status website, you can be notified of service interruptions and maintenance notifications to Broadcom’s Enterprise Software and Security products, in a single view, without authenticating through a portal.

Resolution


Subscribe to receive incident updates and maintenance status messages in Slack:

  1. Go to Service Status.
  2. Click on a product tile to go to the appropriate product status website.
  3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click SUBSCRIBE.



  4. Click on the Slack icon.



  5. Click on SUBSCRIBE VIA SLACK.



  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to allow the relevant permissions, select an appropriate channel that Statuspage will post to and click Allow.
    RECOMMENDATION: Set up a dedicated channel such as #broadcom-status to help minimize noise in other channels



  7. Slack will now install the app and redirect to a configuration page. Select the components that you would like to be notified about and click SAVE.


Unsubscribe from notifications in Slack:

  1. Log into your Slack workspace
  2. Locate the channel where the Statuspage notifications send to
  3. Click on ‘Manage notifications’




  4. Click on Unsubscribe from updates.
