Issue/Introduction

 

When planning upgrade of a Policy Sever, AdminUI, Policy Store data
and CA Access Gateway (SPS) to 12.8SP7 :
 
  1. Where to get the documents for upgrading ?
  2. Where to get the prerequisites for upgrading ?
  3. Where to get the binaries for upgrading ?

 

Resolution

 

At first glance, you'll find the different information here :

1. The document to upgrade (1). Even when applying a Service Pack (SP)
   from x to 7, follow the steps, probably choosing the "In-place
   Upgrade".

2. Check the pre-requisites (2), insure the Policy Store data is
   healthy (3) and make sure that all components you update follow the
   Support Matrix (4).

   Among the others, make sure that the Policy Server 12.8SP7 will use
   AdoptOpenJDK and not Oracle JDK (5)(6). Pay attention that 12.8SP7
   version requires AdoptOpenJDK 11 (7).

3. The binaries (8)(9)(10), insure to be logged in to get access to the
   binaries.
