Issue/Introduction

Removing cdm from a robot, then removing the robot from an MCS group, does not clean up plugin_metric.cfg file. It will leave the spooler-metrics information in tact.

Environment

Release: 9.2.0
Component: cdm probe

Resolution

This can happen if the probe is removed before the device is removed from the group. The recommended method for removal, would be to remove the device from the group, allowing the plugin metric to be updated then remove or replace the probe to the non MC version.

The plugin_metric file can be fixed after the fact by running the plugin_metric_correction callback in the mon_config_service probe:

- in IM CTRL+P on the mon_config_service probe
- select the plugin plugin_metric_correction callback from the Probe commandset pulldown
- specify the need parameter and select the green triangle to execute the callback
