Issue/Introduction

Attention Customers of Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition (SEP SBE) and Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEP Cloud)

These products will be discontinued on November 2, 2020. On this date, the product will stop protecting the endpoints, and access to the console no longer will be available. We recommend that customers migrate to Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise.

On February 25, 2020, Broadcom announced the End of Life for Symantec Small Business Edition (SEP SBE) and Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEP Cloud) . These products will be discontinued on November 2, 2020. On this date, the product will stop protecting the endpoints, and access to the console no longer will be available. We recommend that customers migrate to Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise. To facilitate a smooth transition for the migration, we have put in place the following process:

Resolution

  • Pre-paid subscriptions

    • If you have an active, pre-paid subscription, you received a Broadcom-issued, free Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise entitlement via email. The emails were sent to the customer technical contact email address given to Symantec at the time of purchase. To track these emails in your inbox, see below for sample emails. If you have an active pre-paid subscription and have not received your entitlement, please contact support. Your Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise entitlement is free until November 30, 2020 or the expiration date of your current subscription, whichever is later.





    Monthly Subscriptions

    • If you have a monthly subscription via the marketplaces, please contact your relevant partner to get assistance setting up your Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise entitlement. 

     

    Once you have received access, please visit the Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise portal and start migrating your current product’s configuration to Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise

  • Access the Broadcom Support Portal registration page
  • Select "Enterprise" as the Registration Type
  • Select "CA Technologies Software Solutions / Symantec" as the Product Preference
  • Under Support Access Information, select "Support", enter your "Enterprise Site ID" listed under "Your Account Information" for Site Id (This Enterprise Site ID will be important when requesting Support or when setting up your Broadcom Support Portal Account. Please take note of this number and provide it to others that will be using Broadcom systems. Complete the remainder of the registration form and you will gain access to all of your Account information, Download capabilities and Case Management options.)
  • Complete the remainder of the registration form and click "Submit"
