1. Open a Windows File Explorer, and browse to the installation directory for CodeMeter, The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\CodeMeter\Runtime\bin\.
2. Right -click on CodeMeterCC.exe and "Run as Admin".
3. When the CodeMeter Control Center opens, select the License Tab, and do the following:
5. Click the 'License Update' button.
6. The 'CMFAS Assistant' window will now show with the Welcome page. Click the 'Next' button.
7. By default, the 'Create license request' radio button is selected. Leave this option selected and click the 'Next' button.
8. By default, the file path location of this license request file will be saved to C:\Users\<Your_User_Name>\ directory. If you wish to change the save location, click on the '...' button and browse to another location of your choice.
9. By default, the request file's name should be the serial number of your currently, active license container, something like 128-xxxxxxxx.WibuCmRaC. If you wish to change the name of the file, you can do so by editing the file name in the file path box. Just be sure to leave the file extension as WibuCmRaC.
10. Click the 'Commit' button. You should receive a message saying 'The license request file has been successfully created'. Click the 'Finish' button.
11. Go to the Broadcom Support Portal (https://support.broadcom.com) and open a case for the License Team, requesting a new ARD Offline activation key. If you are using a Concurrent User License, please note the number of concurrent users your old license has, so the Licensing team is aware, and can verify the new license is correct before sending you the offline activation file.
12. Select the "File Attachment" link in the support case.

14. Browse to the location of where you saved the license request file.
15. Upload a copy of the file to the case.
The license team will email you the WinbuCmRaU (activation key) file, which you can use to update your CodeMeter activation.

5. Select the "import license update" radial button, and click Next to update the current active license.
6. By default, the path directory will be C:\Users\<Your_User_Name>\ directory. You can keep this, if this is the directory where you placed a copy of the WibuCmRaU file, or click the "..." button and browse to the location where you saved off a copy of the WibuCmRaU file.
7. Click the "Commit" button to update the license container.
8. Once the file has been successfully imported, go to the "Process" Menu pick.
9. Select "Restart CodeMeter Service" to stop and restart the CodeMeter service.
10. Launch the CodeMeter Web Admin and verify the License information is correct in under the Container Tab -> Licenses Tab.
If you find that the expiration date was not updated, then you will need to delete the active license container from CodeMeter before generating a new WibuCmRaC request file.

Once the License Container has been deleted from CodeMeter CC, you will need to import an empty license container.
