SPE hangs when NTP server restarts

Issue/Introduction

SPE hangs in case that NTP server restarts and the system clock is set backwards.

Resolution

Please apply hotfix, which is attached to this article.

Application procedure is as follows:

1. Stop SPE service.
2. Take back up of existing "symcscan", which resides under /opt/SYMCScan/bin/ directory (by default).
3. Deploy symcscan within hotfix and configure ownership and permission to meet existing one.
4. Restart the SPE service.
