Cannot Create a Project From Template in the New UX

Projects cannot be created from a template in the new UX. 

Steps to reproduce - 

  1. Navigate to either the project list page or the project tile page.
  2. Select 'New from Template'
  3. Select  any template
  4. Enter project name
  5. Click create

Expected:  Project creation initiated
Actual:  Red banner at top of page reads 'failed to create project' and no project is generated.

When this occurs, the logs may throw an error similar to:

Release : 15.9.1 



This is due to the missing security access over the fields that are set to secure on the project object. 


Grant a group that the user is part of View or Edit rights over the Resource Pool field in the new UX under Administration - Attributes.- Template> Details flyout > "Access Edit " and "Access View" can be used to add the desired security access group.

Any other End-User Persona Group - Should have FLS-View access rights on the Template and Assignment Pool attributes to create projects using templates.


If the attribute is_template is set to secure and no access rights are provided, the system will not let you create a project using the option
