Issue/Introduction

Attempting to download a Gen subset from the Host Encyclopedia to the Windows Workstation Toolset of the IEF.TRAN file, get the below error message:

ONCODE=22 - The RECORD condition was raised because the length of the record variable was greater than the record length (FILE= TRANS). ERROR condition...:

Resolution

For the error:  TIEC074E  SYSTEM ERROR: ERROR WRITING TRANSACTION FILE.   The recommendation is to delete the <userid>.ief.tran file and re-allocate it OR let the download process auto re-allocate for you.   If problems persist consider re-allocating a larger <userid>.ief.tran file by increase the size of the file.
