Issue/Introduction

Should the version of the Clarity Microsoft Project Interface match the bit version of Microsoft Project or the Windows Operating System?

Environment

Release: All
Component: Clarity Microsoft Project

Resolution

The bit version of the CA Clarity Microsoft Project Interface needs to be the same as the bit version as Microsoft Project itself.

Here are the steps to check the bit version of Microsoft Project that is installed on the computer:

  • For MSP 2010: Go to the File Tab > Help > Under the 'About Microsoft Project' section, the bit version will show in parenthesis.
  • For MSP 2013: Go to File > Account > Click on the 'About Project' icon, the bit version will show on the popup window that comes up.

When using the 32 bit versions of MSP 2010/2013, the x86 version of the MSP Interface needs to be installed. For the 64 bit versions of MSP 2010/2013, the x64 version of the MSP Interface needs to be installed

The MSP Interface can be downloaded and installed from Clarity > Home > Account Settings.
