Endpoint Security Endpoint Security Complete

Issue/Introduction

You would like to configure two-factor authentication for Symantec Endpoint Security (SES).

Resolution

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to the sign-in process. You must provide a unique, one-time verification code when you sign in, in addition to a password.

You can receive the code by SMS (text), email, or app. The free Okta Verify app is recommended because it's the most secure and easy-to-use option.

To manage two-factor authentication for your administrator account

  1. Go to the Okta sign-in page and select settings.

  2. Scroll down to the section Extra Verification and enable Okta Verify, SMS Authentication, and/or Email Authentication

NOTE: These settings manage sign-on for all Broadcom applications. If more granular 2FA controls are required, utilizing a supported custom Identity Provider (IDP) that supports those options would be needed.
