Network Time Protocol (NTP) server IP address changes for Network Protection Products

Issue/Introduction

Network Protection appliances use ntp.bluecoat.com, ntp1.bluecoat.com, and ntp2.bluecoat.com as pre-configured NTP servers.

On May 28th, 2020, the NTP service was changed to use Google time servers.

Resolution

The CNAME to ntp.bluecoat.com, ntp1.bluecoat.com, ntp2.bluecoat.com is now pointing to time.google.com.

If you are using this NTP service you should verify that firewall is allowing traffic to IP addresses above, UDP port 123.
