When the Edge SWG s(ProxySG), ASGs, or SWG VAs, fails to process specific HTTP / HTTPS requests correctly, or if there is general slowness while accessing particular sites the HTTP debug log is useful to isolate the problem. Having a clean HTTP debug log with specific client machine IP or server IP information, produces the best results for root cause analysis. For more information on how to take HTTP debug refer to How to get an HTTP Debug Log from the ProxySG
HTTP debug information is typically requested when Broadcom support cannot isolate the problem with a policy trace and packet capture.
To apply an IP filter navigate to the HTTP debug URL of your proxy:
https://<ip.address.of.proxy>:8082/http/debug
Apply specific client IP or server IP filters by selecting the hyperlink "Debug filter(s)".
Once on the debug filter options display, add the appropriate client IP or server IP for the client or site which observed the error.
Selecting Submit to save the debug filter returns the browser to the main HTTP debug log page.
