Issue/Introduction

Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) 15.0 and later supports the deployment of both the Enforce Server with the Oracle database and detection servers on the Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

Resolution

Symantec Data Loss Prevention also supports the deployment of the following servers on the Microsoft Azure infrastructure:

• Enforce Server with the Oracle database on the same computer
• Cloud Prevent for Email detection server
• Network Prevent for Web detection server
• Network Prevent for Email detection server
• Endpoint Prevent detection server
• Network Discover/Cloud Storage Discover detection server

Follow standard Symantec sizing guidelines when choosing a VM size.

Operating systems that are supported for Azure deployment as of Symantec Data Loss Prevention 15.x include:

• Windows 2012 R2 with patch
• Windows Server 2016
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.9
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4
