Issue/Introduction

Product Installation fails with the message:

GIM51301S ** THE RFPREFIX OPERAND EXCEEDS THE 26 CHARACTER MAXIMUM.

 

 

 

Cause

PREFIX OPERAND EXCEEDS THE 26 CHARACTER MAXIMUM.

Resolution

To resolve shorten the prefix name entered for the "Temporary Data Set Prefixand/or the "GIMUNZIP Temporary Prefix" under the System and/or User Settings for "Software Installation" so the entire data set name generated will be equal to or less than 26 Characters.

If the value specified in either field is too long, shorten it so that the name generated for the entire data set does not exceed 26 characters. 

1. Click Settngs
2. Under System Settings (or User Settings if just for you)
3. Click For "Software Installation"
For the "Temporary Data Set Prefix" and/or for
the "GIMUNZIP Temporary Prefix" be sure to specify a prefix that will not cause the generated dataset name to be greater than 26 Characters.
